Prince Philip left a central London hospital today with a smile on his face and a quip for awaiting journalists.

As reported by the Daily Telegraph’s royal correspondent, the Prince was asked if he was feeling better. "I wouldn’t be coming out otherwise," he replied.

Buckingham Palace said that Prince Philip would “continue his convalescence” at home.

As Patricia Treble has reported for Maclean’s,the duke of Edinburgh was taken to the hospital on Monday after developing a bladder infection. Speculation in the media linked his condition to the blustery conditions he endured during Jubilee celebrations.
