RCMP find grenade launcher in Nanaimo hotel
Three people have been arrested in Nanaimo after police discovered a grenade launcher in their hotel room, the Canadian Press reports.
On Wednesday morning RCMP officers entered the hotel room after learning the occupants, a man and two women, might have firearms.
After the police then searched the room, they found the grenade launcher, a deadly tool which can be attached to the barrel of many rifles and launch grenades “a considerable distance”. Police then arrested the room’s occupants.
Investigators continue to examine the launcher to determine whether it is stolen, or associated with any other criminal activity.
