Saskatchewan residents gambled most in 2008
Quebecers spent the least: Statistics Canada
Prairie residents are the biggest gamblers, according to a report from Statistics Canada. Saskatchewan residents spent the most—$720 per household in 2008—with Alberta in second place at $645 per household. In Saskatchewan, 27 per cent of residents had visited a casino or video lottery terminal that year, the highest in the country. Quebecers gambled the least, spending just $390 per household.
