Danny Boyle, the hottest director in Hollywood after his Oscar sweep for Slumdog Millionaire, has been approached to direct the 23rd installment of  the James Bond franchise, reports The Sun. The British director, who has never attracted to big-budget productions, could make an exception because of the involvement of the current OO7, Daniel Craig and the way the Bond films are now structured  “with the emphasis on the characters and plot rather than gags and gadgets,” says a source, who notes: “it is right up Danny’s street.”
