The next celebrity boss
Lynn Tilton is "part Warren Buffett and part Dolly Parton."
Lynn Tilton, is credited with saving America’s largest helicopter maker, MD Helicopters. She is so popular in the industry that at a recent convention, she was handing out signed, glossy photos of herself rather than her aircraft. Said one pilot, before hearing her name: "I thought she was a stripper." Far from it. A Wall Street investor, Tilton has been quietly building her fortune since 2000. It’s now worth $8 billion. The helicopter company is just one of 70 she controls. The LA Times calls her "part Warren Buffett and part Dolly Parton."
