The Obamas go to Easter service
Barack Obama’s approval numbers may be down, but he’s still a rock star. When the First Family went to Easter Sunday services in an impoverished part of Washington DC yesterday, they brought the circus along with them. Metal detectors, tents, barricades and cops, and a crowd that began lining up at 3:30 am. But Allen Chapel, the predominantly black church they attended, posed some unique challenges for the Secret Service. Agents found themselves swept up in the singing and dancing celebrations. “Two Secret Service officers occupied the pew behind the first family and acted as a moving shield, standing when they stood, swaying when the Obamas swayed, sitting when they sat,” writes the Washington Post.
