"The worst Prime Minister we have had in this country"

A fellow Labour candidate tears a strip off Gordon Brown

A candidate for Britain’s Gordon Brown-led Labour party had very little good to say about the party and its leader just two days before Britons go to the polls. "I believe Gordon Brown has been the worst Prime Minister we have had in this country," Manish Sood said. "It is a disgrace and he owes an apology to the people and the Queen." Sood’s criticisms of the Labour government’s performance ran the gamut, from immigration ("the country is getting bigger and messier"), to politicians’ behaviour ("the action of ministers has gone downhill, it is corrupt"), to crime ("we have to get back to basics where people can leave their money outside for the milkman without it being stolen"). In fairness, Sood has seemingly known from the start his ideas weren’t likely to get a proper hearing—from the very start of the campaign, he’s called the seat for which he’s running "unwinnable."
