Union taking government to court
Public Service Alliance says students, casual workers should be allowed to join union
Union membership—and rights—should be extended to the federal government’s summer student and casual employees, says The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC). According to PSAC, this provision of the Public Service Labour Relations Act contravenes the constitutional right to "freedom of association" and collective bargaining.
