Up in arms

Bonnie Fuller put it best: "Is Michelle Obama supposed to wear a burka?" That’s a bit extreme, of course, but thank goodness somebody’s stating the obvious. For reasons that defy any logical explanation, the First Lady’s shoulders have become a national obsession. Bloggers and Twitter-ers and everyone else who wishes they looked so good in a sleeveless gown are asking the same question: Should the president’s wife be showing so much skin? At ease, folks. If Michelle shows up topless to the next State of the Union, then we’ll worry.
