White tea fights fat
The hot beverage helps prevent obesity: study
When it comes to the health benefits of a hot bevvie, green tea has gotten all the kudos lately. But now, white tea is attracting attention after a recent German study showed that it can help prevent obesity. The scientists treated human fat cells with an extract of the herbal brew and found that, in effect, it reduced the growth of new fat cells. What’s more, the white tea solution helped existing fat cells break down their fat. White tea comes from the same plant used to make green or black teas, but it is less processed, and therefore may contain more healthful ingredients.
