A woman’s torso was found in the lower Niagara River near the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls, Ont. The body, which lacks a head or limbs, was seen floating in the river on Wednesday.

The body part has been sent to Hamilton General Hospital for an autopsy. Police confirmed that the case is a homicide, adding that it isn’t related to the death and dismemberment of Toronto woman Guang Hua Liu. The woman in this case was Caucasian, middle-aged, with a pierced navel and at least one scar from a C-section.
