SASKATOON – A woman charged with causing a disturbance on a flight to Saskatoon last week is scheduled to make a court appearance today.

But there’s another reason why today is important to Maygan Sensenberger — it happens to be the 23-year old’s first wedding anniversary.

A Facebook page called, “Rod Zimmer & Maygan Sensenberger’s Wedding Page,” says they were married on Aug. 27, 2011.

The 69-year old Zimmer is a Canadian senator who represents Manitoba.

Court records show the alleged disturbance happened Thursday on Air Canada Flight 8597, which originated in Halifax, stopped in Ottawa and then went on to Saskatoon.

No one was injured in the incident and police say the safety of the aircraft was not compromised.
