This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Polaris Prize, Canadian music’s most interesting prize, where music writers vote on the year’s top Canadian album, then are left to scrap over which one is truly the best. Michael Barclay, a Polaris Prize juror, joined Adrian Lee and Emma Teitel of Maclean’s pop-culture podcast, The Thrill, to discuss some of the surprises, long shots and disappointments from the shortlist.
