TORONTO – The most senior producer at the CBC Radio show “Q” is taking time off amid the scandal around its former host, Jian Ghomeshi.
A spokesman for the broadcaster says executive producer Arif Noorani will be away for an unspecified period of time.
Toronto police are investigating whether Ghomeshi physically or sexually abused three women.
The CBC fired him on Oct. 26 after seeing what it called “graphic” evidence.
The public broadcaster is expected to announce today who will conduct an independent investigation into the situation.
Ghomeshi faces no charges and has insisted his encounters with women were consensual.
