On the agenda at meeting of western premiers: the economy, disaster relief, bullying

WINNIPEG – The leaders of Canada’s western provinces and territories are meeting in Winnipeg and they’re expected to discuss more than economic issues.

Economy, immigration and disaster relief compensation from the federal government are all on the agenda.

But it’s also anticipated there will be talk about bullying and how to prevent it through education.

Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger is hosting the brief meeting which began informally Sunday night.

It ends with a closing news conference around noon.

British Columbia Premier Christy Clark and Alberta Premier Alison Redford met Friday and announced a ministerial working group to look at skills training, immigration and economic growth.
