The group — David Emerson, Anne McLellan, Jennifer Welsh — seems to be drawn largely from that exotic species, Canadians Who Sit On Advisory Councils. A council that meets every six months to share vague goodwill and free-floating thoughtfulness probably won’t be much help to anyone, but they seem like nice people and I wish them pleasant deliberations.
