The Liberals are alleging a letter-writing campaign, formal or informal, on Helena Guergis’ behalf that now includes her executive assistant, her executive assistant’s mother, a constituency assistant, a former riding president and the assistant of a Conservative MP in a neighbouring riding.

The Liberals sent up their designated expresser-of-outrage, Mr. Wayne Easter, to question the government side this afternoon about Helena Guergis’ latest trouble. Her response was as follows.

Granted, this perhaps does not reflect well on Ms. Guergis. On the other hand, it would be worse if the assistant was writing letters to the editor that were highly critical of her boss. Always look on the bright side.
