It seems strange to consider the apocalyptic speculation now that it’s all worked out

With 25 gold medals and counting — not to mention the Queen and James Bond parachuting into the Olympic Stadium — the Games are sure to have sent Britain on a collective high. But as London 2012 winds down this Sunday, reality will kick in. The recession. The LIBOR scandal. The euro mess. And to top that a massive Olympic bill to pay.

The folks at the Canadian International Council have put together a very cool infographic that details the cost of London 2012 and compares it with that of previous editions of the Games.
