Here’s a twist to the identity politics of this race. The NYT is reporting that one of the people John McCain is considering as a running mate is Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, who was born to Punjabi immigrant parents and converted from Hinduism to Catholicism. Makes somewhat more sense to me than all those Condi Rice rumours. Though, I’d keep an eye on this guy.
