This week, on Maclean’s pop-culture podcast—Adrian Lee, Emma Teitel and Julia De Laurentiis Johnson—we discuss the success of Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer, and bring in comic Diana Bailey to tell us about the realities of being a female comedian. Then, we talk to Rebekah Maysles, whose late father, Albert Maysles, was a pioneer in documentary filmmaking. She’ll talk about working with her father on one of his just-released final projects, the delightful movie Iris, which follows the life of 93-year-old style maven Iris Apfel. Finally, we’ll end by talking about TV endings—appropriate, no?—with Mad Men having just wrapped up. In a conversation that’s full of spoilers, we’ll argue about whether it’s possible to make everyone happy with a series finale.
