
Peter Capaldi to be Doctor Who’s next new Time Lord
’It’s so wonderful not to keep this secret any longer,’ actor says
After much speculation and anticipation, Scottish actor Peter Capaldi has been named the 12th Doctor on Dr. Who.
"It’s so wonderful not to keep this secret any longer," the actor said during a live reveal on BBC One.
Capaldi had been a top choice of British bookmakers, along with Ben Daniels, Daniel Rigby and Aneurin Barnard.
"Well well WELL. This is BRILLIANT NEWS," exclaimed the Guardian’s Stuart Heritage on learning the news.
