Assiniboine College offers more than 75 certificate, diploma and postgraduate programs in agriculture, food and hospitality, business, health, human services, trades and technology. The school has campuses in Winnipeg, Brandon, Dauphin and Portage la Prairie, and partners with First Nations groups to deliver community-based education. While Assiniboine doesn’t have student housing on campus, it offers residence for students at the Brandon campus through a partnership with Brandon University.

The college’s Centre for Creative Media at the Victoria Avenue East campus in Brandon hosts three programs: media and communications, digital art and design, and web and interactive development. Assiniboine also recently constructed a Centre for Adult Learning at the same campus. The school’s Prairie Innovation Centre for Sustainable Agriculture, which received a $60-million capital investment from the province of Manitoba, will be housed at its North Hill campus, in Brandon, and support applied research and agricultural and food programming. The North Hill campus is also home to the Len Evans Centre for Trades and Technology.

The school’s Peters School of Business is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and offers an MBA in community economic development in partnership with Cape Breton University.

Assiniboine is using a recent $11.4-million investment from the provincial and federal governments to expand its early childhood education program and improve access. It also has agreements with several high schools in Manitoba whereby students receive dual credits for high school and college. The integrated comprehensive health-care aide program, for example, awards graduates a certificate as well as a high school diploma.
