Red River College Polytechnic (RRC) is Manitoba’s largest institute of applied learning, with eight campuses across the province, more than 22,000 students each year and more than 200 degree, diploma, certificate and apprenticeship programs. RRC also offers microcredential courses. RRC has diverse industry partnerships and many specialized research and training facilities. Manitou a bi Bii daziigae, the first RRC building to receive an Indigenous name, houses RRC’s business and creative arts programs. Equipped with three digital teaching studios, the centre provides learners in rural communities with increased access to campus while they learn from home, and enables Indigenous entrepreneurship and social enterprise. In November of 2024, RRC opened the Interdisciplinary Health and Community Services Simulation Centre at the Notre Dame Campus. The 16,630-square-foot facility can train up to 12,000 students a year in 13 programs.

RRC’s culinary and hospitality school, the Paterson GlobalFoods Institute in Winnipeg, is home to the college’s Prairie Research Kitchen. The centre conducts research and development for food manufacturing and services businesses. On the Notre Dame campus, RRC recently opened the Price Institute of Advanced Manufacturing, which helps upskill workers in Manitoba’s manufacturing industry. The centre’s lab space supports innovation in sectors including robotics, automation, pneumatics and computer-aided design. RRC also offers a veterinary technology program; students can transfer to Thompson Rivers University to pursue their bachelor’s.
