Adele’s James Bond theme song tops iTunes charts

Agent 007 turns the big 50, as the James Bond franchise celebrates half a decade of fast cars, fast women and big explosions.

The first Bond film, Dr. No, premiered in London on Oct. 5, 1962.

In honour of the milestone, pop superstar Adele has released the latest Bond movie theme song, "Skyfall," which hit the top of the iTunes chart within hours of its release, reports The Telegram.

Skyfall, staring Daniel Craig as Bond, opens in North American theatres Nov. 9.
