Alanis Morissette joins Weeds
The singer-songwriter will play a doctor on the successful series about a pot-selling single mom
Alanis Morissette, Canadian singer-songwriter and icon of ’90s self-absorption, has a non-singing role on the fifth season of popular cable series WEEDS, which starts June 8. Morissette will play the obstetrician of the lead character, Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker), in a minimum of seven episodes. Reports indicate that Morissette’s role might call for occasional nudity. But she’s presumably okay with that, because as she once sang, "I recommend walking around naked in your living room."
