Boston doesn’t want Jay Leno

An NBC affiliate in Boston has refused to air Jay Leno’s upcoming 10PM talk show, preferring instead to devote the hour to the local news. The station, WHDH, is apparently fed up with being forced to run low-rated NBC programming, and the Leno show, which is almost guaranteed to lose to every other show in its time slot, is the last straw. NBC has already threatened to strip the station of its NBC-affiliated status, but with NBC the way it is now, that might not be much of a threat. Oh, and Jay Leno? He’s from Boston. So his home town doesn’t want him.
