Dora The Exploited?
A children’s favourite gets an unpopular makeover
The Mattel company has announced a new makeover for its Dora the Explorer doll. They haven’t revealed the actual design yet, but they’ve teased us with a "silhouette" of a new Dora with big hair, a short skirt, and a super-awesome wardrobe. Parents are already complaining that Mattel is conspiring to ruin the one doll that doesn’t ruin girls’ minds with Barbie-like body images and unaffordable clothes. No word on whether Mattel will release a new version of Dora’s sidekick, Diego, giving him big muscles like He-Man.
