There’s been plenty of speculation about a sequel to the 1988 cult classic Heathers, a black comedy about a four-girl clique who rule a high school, starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater . "Whatever you hear, there is a sequel in the works, I swear to God," Ryder told Empire magazine. "But for some reason the writer, Dan Waters, and director, Michael Lehman, don’t want to talk about it. I’ve been wanting to do a sequel forever.” Ryder also confirmed that Christian Slater has agreed to come back as “a kind of Obi-Wan character." The movie, a precursor to Mean Girls and Juno, also launched the career of a pre-90210 Shannon Doherty but there has been no discussion about her return.
