Fears about a potential fertilizer bomb at the G20 summit have been quelled: the man who bought enough ammonium nitrate to blow-up several city blocks contacted police in southern Ontario hours after police sketches were spread across the media. “There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the purchase of the ammonium nitrate," said a news release from Insp. Gord Sneddon, of the Toronto police. "It is expected that there will be no charges." The man’s purchase of 1,500 kilograms of fertilizer from from Vineland Growers in the Niagara region prompted an anti-terrorism investigation, which ended when the fertilizer was recovered on Wednesday.
