Ricky Martin is out of the closet

Is it still news if everybody already knows? Apparently. Former music superstar Ricky Martin (remember him? What about Menudo?) has come out of the closet. After years of sometimes coy denials, Martin posted a statement on his website yesterday. “I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.” Martin explains that his two adopted sons inspired him to go public. And there’s also the memoir he’s writing..."These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn’t even know existed," writes Martin.
