Ottawa – Started in Athens, Greece on Aug. 9, 2007, Global Human Rights Torch Relay (HRTR) has been traveling the globe to beam a spotlight on the dire human rights abuses in China before the 2008 Beijing Olympics. After touring 30 countries in five continents, the torch relay arrives in Ottawa on May 14. Members of Parliament, NGO representatives, human rights activists, persecuted groups, music performers and other concerned citizens will receive the torch with a Run and Rally.
