As parliamentarians get comfortable on Parliament Hill, Maclean’s and L’actualité took over the ballroom of the Chateau Laurier to celebrate Canada’s elected representatives. It was an evening of revelry and good cheer, as Maclean’s played a selection of the 60-Second Challenges undertaken by the bravest of the Parliamentarians.

The evening culminated with former prime minister Jean Chrétien introducing longtime Liberal cabinet minister Lloyd Axworthy as the winner of Maclean’s annual lifetime achievement award.
