A high honour
Congratulations to Lisa Raitt, who has been given Seat #43 in the House of Commons, now officially known as the Rona Ambrose Memorial Chair. Ms. Ambrose was promoted to the frontbench in this new Parliament and, quite coincidentally, the seat immediately visible on television over Stephen Harper’s left shoulder when he speaks has been given to another woman.
Watching the Prime Minister speak this morning, one might’ve noticed that Raitt has also already perfected that subtle gesture known as the Rona Ambrose Memorial Head Nod.
