On native rights. Del Mastro told the audience of about 50 people that the Liberal’s Green Shift carbon tax plan would violate their treaty right to not pay taxes to the federal Crown by putting a tax on everything.
On poverty. The carbon tax would drive up child poverty, Del Mastro said.
On employment. “Mr. Dion thinks it’s a good idea to put people out of work. That’s why he’s championing a carbon tax."
