The Senate will vote today on a Conservative motion to suspend three senators without pay. The motion accuses Mike Duffy, Pamela Wallin and Patrick Brazeau of “gross negligence” for claiming thousands of dollars of expenses improperly. The trio has spent weeks desperately defending their right to due process and a fair hearing, and claiming the Senate are not the right forum for such a debate. They’ve earned sympathy from some senators on both sides of the aisle, but perhaps not enough. Today, they learn their fate. Join us at 5 p.m., when we stream the audio feed from the Senate.
