The NDP’s doing whatever it can to keep the Senate expenses scandal in Question Period. A new book by former Parliament Hill journalist Dan Leger alleges that central characters in the Wright-Duffy affair met in the Prime Minister’s "private, high-security boardroom" to talk out the scandal. That’s all the NDP needed to hear.

The party partially buried questions about the boardroom conversations in the middle of QP. Today, Tom Mulcair included questions about the Langevin Block conversations in his opening round of questions to Stephen Harper. The big difference between these queries and those from months past on the Senate scandal? Mulcair’s abandoned the direct questioning and reverted to long preambles the PM denies as containing false premises.
