Alexandre Bilodeau and Mikael Kingsbury can make it look easy. In fact, all four Canadians in the men’s moguls advanced directly to the medal round on the strength of their qualifying runs on Monday.

Three others riders in qualifying today, however, showed exactly how dangerous moguls can be. Finland’s Ville Miettunen and Russia’s Sergey Volkov lost control on big air jumps on the ski hill today, and fortunately they both appeared to be okay and skied to the bottom.

And there were more crashes to come. Australia’s Dale Begg-Smith took a bad spill.
