Weekend Viewing: What, No Gravy?

Hoping I can get the video embedding function to work on this new site: here’s one of the darkest, cruelest, and best-loved of all Looney Tunes cartoons, “Chow Hound” by Chuck Jones. This wasn’t made for TV, of course, but it ran for years on Saturday mornings until network programmers got wise to the fact that maybe the term “kids stuff” doesn’t really apply to the story of an abusive, vicious dog pimping out a cat to three different owners so he can steal the cat’s food.
