What if THE WIRE Had a Mike Post Theme Song?

In the category of “things no one should try,” I wondered what would happen if the title sequence of the pilot of The Wire were combined with the Mike Post theme music from the ’80s action show Stingray. You know, it doesn’t work half bad, since The Wire really does use the fast-cutting style of a traditional cop show. (The intro, I mean, not the show itself.) That’s part of the point: the images are fairly typical but the choice of music is atypical, and the combination sets up what kind of show this is going to be, partly a regular procedural and partly something very different.
