Obligatory Introduction

The first blog post always tends to be short, clumsy, and anti-climactic

Hey there. Welcome to Justin’s Judgements. The first blog post always tends to be short, clumsy, and anti-climactic (insert joke here), so I’ll try and make this as brief as possible.

— I’m Justin McElroy, a fourth year political science student at the University of British Columbia.
— I just finished off a year as News Editor of the Ubyssey, the student paper on campus.
— This blog will traffic mainly in post-secondary education (shocking, I know), student initiatives and screw-ups, the intersection of social networking and universities, and other sundry items that interest me.
— Per the name of the blog, I judge things. Often, said judgements are exasperated, pessimistic, and cynical. This is perhaps what happens when you read too many Andrew Coyne columns as a child.

I’ll try to post regularly in the next little while, so that this gets shunted far, far down your computer screen, and you get to read something of value. Enjoy!
