On April 29, as part of Hot Docs 2017—North America’s largest documentary film festival—Maclean’s proudly presented a Curious Minds-style on-stage conversation with former justice of the Supreme Court of Canada Ian Binnie, where he and Maclean’s Ottawa bureau chief John Geddes unravelled the history, legacy and ongoing vitality of Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Focusing around pressing issues facing Canadians today, the event also featured an exclusive sneak peek of "In the Name of All Canadians," Hot Docs’ Canada feature compilation of short films on the Charter, funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario. Watch a replay of the event above, and read the rest of our Hot Docs coverage here.
