Lowered expectations

From the Globe’s interesting take on Jim Flaherty’s current situation:

“Thanks for having the courage to do this,” the last voter in line at the microphones said.

Just to be clear, the Finance Minister appearing before 200 constituents in his own riding now counts as courageous.
