The root of the issue is not which party is worse regarding attack ads. It is, rather, a matter of how Canadians want their politics served up. We believe most Canadians would rather their politicians take the higher road than the lower. If that’s the case, quiet grumbling will not break the attack cycle. Canadians must tell their political leaders clearly -- to their faces or via the ballot box -- we are smart and sophisticated enough not to be fooled by mean-spirited bullying.
