    Canada’s team first travelled to the Olympic Summer Games in London in 1912.

Although Canada had 87 athletes in the<br /> 1908 Olympics, only about three dozen — mostly members of the<br /> athletics (track and field) team — marched in the opening ceremony<br /> parade.</p>
