Several weeks ago, I asked NDP MP Megan Leslie and Conservative Michelle Rempel if they might sit down for a joint interview. They both agreed and so over salads—they each went with the nicoise, I went with the caesar—we sat and talked about life on the Hill. (As luck would have it, we sat down the same day the environment commissioner’s report was being debated.) The result is this piece.

Ms. Leslie has featured in sketches here from time to time—see here and here, for instance. She was named rookie of the year in 2009. Ms. Rempel’s star turn—including a cameo from Ms. Leslie—was noted here last December.
Writing this last piece reminded me somewhat of a piece I wrote about Glen Pearson four years ago.
